The Tirumala laddu, considered a sacred offering for devotees of Lord Venkateswara, is now at the center of a major controversy. BJP leader Lanka Dinakar has alleged that during the YSRCP regime, the ghee used for preparing the laddu was not genuine but adulterated with fake ingredients. According to Dinakar, the Bhole Baba Dairy had received a contract to supply ghee for the laddus - nearly 24 lakh kilograms in total. However, the CBI investigation reportedly found no records of the company collecting milk or butter, raising serious doubts about the authenticity of the supplied ghee.
He stated, It’s becoming clear that fake materials were used in preparing the sacred laddus of Tirumala. The CBI’s detailed report is expected soon. The issue has already drawn attention from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, who earlier condemned such irregularities. With the CBI intensifying its probe, all eyes are now on how this case unfolds and who will be held accountable.
