Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that those who wish to grow as leaders must respect the hard work of party workers at the grassroots level. Speaking at the party office in Mangalagiri on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, he launched the active membership drive of the Jana Sena Party. He enrolled as the first member and donated ₹2 crore for the insurance of party workers. The fifth phase of the membership drive will begin statewide from the 26th of this month and a week earlier in Pithapuram.
He stated that the party needs committed leaders who can influence lakhs of people. He said the party’s ideology is strong and that is why it is receiving invitations from states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra. He explained that members working actively will be called “Udyami”, those increasing memberships will be “Sadhak” and those supporting the party with financial or intellectual help will be known as “Pradata”.
Referring to the Telangana municipal elections, he said that even without campaigning, the party won two seats, which is a sign of change. He added that Jana Sena is not limited to one region and that youth power is the driving force of the party.
