Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislature Party Leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy launched a sharp attack on both the Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), alleging that the two parties are acting in coordination to mislead the people of Telangana. Speaking at the BJP state office, he claimed that while one party is driven by the desire to remain in power, the other is driven by corruption, and together they are pushing the state in the wrong direction. He alleged that both parties have entered into a covert political understanding and are merely pretending to oppose each other.
Maheshwar Reddy questioned the relevance of the youth programmes organised by both parties and said neither Congress nor BRS has the moral authority to speak about unemployed youth. He alleged that the two parties were treating unemployed youngsters as a vote bank and urged them not to exploit public sentiment. Reiterating that the BJP stands for nationalism and clean governance, he dismissed speculation over internal differences in the party, stating that senior leaders, including Eatala Rajender and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, meeting together is a normal organisational practice.
