BJP leader Ramchander Rao stated that the party’s vote share increased significantly in the municipal elections. He alleged that the Congress secured its victory through misuse of official machinery and police high-handedness. Nevertheless, he described the BJP’s first-time victories in Narayanpet, Adilabad, Kothagudem and Wyra as clear indications of the party’s growing strength. He expressed confidence that these results would further strengthen the BJP in the coming days.
Ramchander Rao also noted that the party lost in several wards by narrow margins ranging from 2 to 25 votes. He claimed that the BJP registered an overall increase of around 20 percent in vote share across the state, while the BRS experienced a decline. According to him, the election results signal a shift in the state’s political landscape and he asserted that the BJP would emerge even stronger in the upcoming elections.
