Political tension erupted in Karimnagar after BJP leaders and workers allegedly attacked MLA Gangula Kamalakar’s camp office. They also targeted MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy’s car, damaging its window glasses. The attack reportedly took place in protest against Kaushik Reddy’s comments on Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, leading to a tense atmosphere in the area.
During a press meet held earlier in the day, Kaushik Reddy alleged that there was “match fixing” between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay. Angry BJP workers then attacked the camp office, damaging flower pots and window panes. Police rushed to the spot, dispersed the crowd and detained several people. Heavy security has been deployed in Karimnagar, while traffic on the Karimnagar-Jagtial highway was diverted.
