BJP Criticises Rahul Gandhi Over Photo

A photograph of Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has triggered a political debate. Union Minister Giriraj Singh shared a picture showing Rahul Gandhi on a boat with a woman and a child and questioned where and when it was taken and who the two people accompanying him were. The development comes amid previous BJP criticism of Rahul Gandhi’s foreign visits.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate clarified that the woman and child seen with Rahul Gandhi are the wife and son of his friend. She said the photograph was taken during a family holiday. Awi Dandia, who handles social media for the Indian Overseas Congress, said the photograph was taken at Lake Ray Roberts in Texas, USA.
