Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has written to Irrigation Department Secretary Sridhar, seeking a comprehensive investigation into allegations that water from the Konda Pochamma Sagar project was diverted to the farmhouse of former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). In his letter, the MP questioned the alleged use of a lift irrigation scheme, intended to serve public and agricultural needs, for private purposes. He called for a detailed inquiry to establish whether the project’s infrastructure and resources were used in accordance with the approved objectives.
Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy also urged officials to examine the project records thoroughly to determine whether public funds were misused and to assess the extent of any financial irregularities, if established. He called for an early investigation into the alleged movement of water from Konda Pochamma Sagar to Panduranga Cheruvu and subsequently to KCR’s farmhouse. The MP urged the department to complete the inquiry at the earliest and take legal action against those found responsible in accordance with the law. The allegations and the facts surrounding the water diversion require verification through an official investigation.
