Bhatti Calls for Dalit Adivasi Unity

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has called for a nationwide united movement to safeguard the self-respect and dignity of Dalits and Adivasis. He made the remarks at a Dalit Adivasi Self-Respect Conference organised by the Congress SC and ST MPs Forum under the leadership of MP Mallu Ravi at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. Ministers Vivek Venkataswamy and Seethakka, MP Balram Naik, MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, and other legislators and MLCs attended the meeting.

Bhatti said the reported “purification” ritual at the Haldwani venue after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s public meeting was an issue concerning Dalit self-respect. He recalled the Congress’s role in opposing untouchability and alleged that the BJP led Centre was undermining constitutional values and promoting the ideology of Manusmriti. Bhatti also criticised the filing of a case against Rahul Gandhi after he demanded an FIR over the Haldwani incident. He called for collective action against discrimination and urged people to unite to protect the dignity of SC, ST and minority communities.
