

At Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Begumpet, Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, along with women supporters, staged a protest demanding the implementation of the Congress party’s election promises. She urged the government to provide Rs 2,500 per month to women, enhance pensions for the elderly, differently abled, and other beneficiaries, extend Kalyana Lakshmi benefits along with one tola of gold, and resolve long pending issues of Anganwadi workers. Kavitha criticized the delay in fulfilling the assurances made to the people and called for immediate action.
Following the protest, Kavitha submitted a formal representation to Prajavani Nodal Officer Divya, outlining the demands and seeking prompt intervention. She stated that the government must honor its commitments to women, welfare beneficiaries, and frontline workers. The demonstration witnessed participation from several women activists who reiterated their demand for swift implementation of welfare schemes.
