The Telangana government formally launched the Bal Bharosa scheme and Pranam Day Care Centres at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the programme as the chief guest, along with state ministers.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that encouraging students and strengthening their future prospects is a key priority of the government. He highlighted that special focus is being given to promoting persons with disabilities in both education and employment.
Referring to senior leader Jaipal Reddy, the Chief Minister said he remained an inspiration, as he never allowed physical challenges to limit his vision or leadership. The government, he added, is working with the same spirit to empower persons with disabilities.
The Chief Minister also stated that the government is actively creating employment and livelihood opportunities for the transgender community. He announced that proposals are being considered to provide representation to transgender persons as option members in upcoming municipal and corporation elections, marking an important step towards inclusive governance.
