Investment momentum in Andhra Pradesh continues to rise. A day after ReNew Energy announced its return to the state, another global giant has stepped forward. Brookfield Asset Management, one of the world’s leading investment firms, has committed a massive ₹1.1 lakh crore investment in the state. Minister Nara Lokesh shared this update through an official announcement.
According to Lokesh, the investment will support major sectors including renewable energy, battery storage, pumped storage, and solar manufacturing. In addition, Brookfield will also expand its presence in data centers, commercial real estate, global capability centers, infrastructure, and ports. Lokesh stated that this mega investment will strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a global hub for sustainable and transformational projects.
Another significant achievement came with the efforts of Lokesh, as Tillman Global Holdings from the USA signed an agreement to establish a 300 MW hyperscale data center in Visakhapatnam, with an investment of ₹15,000 crore.
While SIPP meetings were rare in the previous regime, the current coalition government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, conducted 12 meetings in just one year. This almost-monthly frequency shows the enhanced ‘Speed of Doing Business’, which is now driving large-scale investments into the state.
