Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao alleged that democracy in the state is under threat, accusing the Congress government of targeting voices of dissent. He said that ACB raids are being conducted when employees demand PRC, while SIT notices are being issued whenever the opposition raises questions. Harish Rao stated that such actions reflect an attack on democratic values.
Addressing a gathering during the Best Employees Felicitation Programme held at the TNGO Bhavan in Siddipet on the occasion of Republic Day, Harish Rao criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for prioritising contractor commissions over clearing pending dues of retired employees. He alleged that while former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had granted a 72 percent PRC to employees with dignity, the present government is creating fear even for raising genuine demands. He further claimed that the Congress government has stalled development works, including medical and veterinary colleges in Siddipet, due to political vendetta. The BRS leader asserted that the party would continue to question the government and fight for the rights of employees and teachers.
