The Assembly winter session is set to begin on the 29th of this month. No Assembly proceedings will be held on December 30, 31, and January 1, after which the sessions will resume from January 2. The discussions during this session will primarily focus on issues related to the Godavari and Krishna river waters.
Key agenda points include water-sharing disputes between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, matters pending with the Centre, alleged illegal water usage by Andhra Pradesh, and projects being undertaken without necessary approvals. The government also plans to discuss steps taken to prevent such activities. During a meeting with ministers held today at the Command Control Centre, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed that the irrigation policies followed by the previous government should be strongly exposed and debated in the Assembly.
