Assembly Gate Clash: FIR Filed Against KTR, Harish Rao and Other BRS Leaders

Saifabad police have registered Crime No. 363/2026 in connection with the incident reported at Gate No. 3 of the Telangana Assembly on September 7. The FIR was registered based on a complaint by Khairatabad Detective Inspector M. Balaswamy under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). KTR, Harish Rao and several other BRS leaders and supporters have been named in the FIR.

According to the police version mentioned in the FIR, an argument broke out after some individuals wearing black T-shirts carrying slogans were stopped from entering the Assembly premises. The complaint alleges that some people subsequently crossed the police cordon, pushed personnel on duty, allegedly grabbed their collars, used abusive language and issued threats. The complaint also alleges inappropriate remarks and insulting behaviour toward women police personnel. Police have sought to determine the individual roles of those involved using video recordings, CCTV footage and media footage as part of the investigation.
