He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of the implementation of the election code and directed the officers to ensure that political representatives do not violate the prescribed rules.
Punetha also instructed the observers to take appropriate action against violations of election rules and make effective use of technology to strengthen election monitoring. He emphasized the importance of coordination with district police authorities to maintain law and order throughout the electoral process. The SEC directed the officials to take strict measures to prevent undue pressure, inducements and other practices that could undermine the fairness of the elections.
