

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the Panchayati Raj department officials and employees after several panchayats from the state secured top honours in the National Panchayat Awards 2026. The Chief Minister described the achievements as a matter of pride for the entire state and appreciated the efforts towards transparent and effective rural governance.
Kandulavaripalle secured the first rank in the country under the Climate Action Special Panchayat category, while Kanipakam achieved the second rank in the Atmanirbhar Panchayat Special Award category. In another major achievement, the Chittoor District Panchayat Resource Centre stood first in the nation under the Panchayat Capacity Building Excellence category. The Chief Minister urged officials to take inspiration from these awards and strive for more success in the future.
