A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a CBI investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities during the trust vote of the TVK government in Tamil Nadu, led by Chief Minister Vijay. The petition claims that serious violations and unethical practices took place during the trust vote process.
The PIL has also demanded the imposition of President’s Rule in the state until a proper investigation is completed. Allegations have been made that promises of posts and contracts were offered in exchange for supporting the minority government. The petition urges a thorough probe into the entire process to ensure transparency and accountability.
