Former BJP leader K. Annamalai has announced the launch of a new political party in Tamil Nadu, marking a significant development in the state's political landscape. Stating that he entered politics to bring meaningful change to society, Annamalai said he had consulted actor Rajinikanth before beginning his political journey. He emphasized that his new political movement would focus on public welfare, development, and creating a positive impact in society.
Annamalai revealed that differences with the BJP had persisted over the past 18 months, ultimately leading to his decision to part ways with the party. He expressed pride in being both an Indian and a Tamil and asserted that he would never compromise on his Tamil identity. The former BJP leader said his party would encourage new faces in politics and confirmed that it would contest the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu.
