Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has appealed to environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, stating that his life is too valuable to be put at risk. Yadav praised Wangchuk's contributions to humanity, environmental conservation, and democratic values, urging him to continue his movement through peaceful and democratic means.
Yadav also criticised the BJP-led government, alleging that it has ignored Wangchuk's peaceful protest and failed to address his demands. He further accused the government of placing power and money above people's lives. Expressing confidence in Wangchuk's resolve, Yadav said his determination would continue to inspire the youth and strengthen the fight for democracy, environmental protection, and public welfare.
