A major political twist unfolded in Tamil Nadu after rebel MLAs from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam announced their exit from the National Democratic Alliance. Rebel leader Shanmugam declared support for Vijay and stated that their faction no longer has any connection with the NDA alliance. He claimed that their group represents the “real AIADMK” and accused Edappadi K. Palaniswami of acting against party interests.

Shanmugam further alleged that Palaniswami attempted to form a government with Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and blamed him for the party’s continuous election defeats. The rebel camp demanded that Palaniswami step down from all party positions.
