

A 58 year old AIADMK candidate Leema Rose, contesting from Lalgudi constituency in Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu, has declared assets worth ₹1,049 crore in her election affidavit. She is the wife of Martin, a lottery business owner, and recently joined All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam before entering the electoral fray. She submitted her nomination on Monday along with details of her financial holdings.
According to the affidavit, Leema Rose owns 19 kg of gold, 1,217 carats of diamonds, 13 kg of silver, and 33 grams of platinum. Her movable assets are valued at ₹139.63 crore, while immovable assets stand at ₹909.94 crore, with liabilities of ₹8.57 crore. Her husband Martin has movable assets worth ₹887.36 crore and immovable assets valued at ₹3,262 crore. The family’s total wealth is estimated at around ₹6,000 crore, including assets worth ₹655 crore in the name of their son Jose Charles Martin. The affidavit also mentions that she studied up to Class 6 and has four pending cases.
