Abhishek Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy as Congress Rajya Sabha Candidates from Telangana

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has officially announced its candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections from Telangana. After detailed discussions in Delhi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge confirmed the names of Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy. Singhvi, a senior Supreme Court lawyer and experienced Congress leader, has been nominated again and is currently serving as a Rajya Sabha member from Telangana.

The second seat has been allotted to Vem Narender Reddy, who is a close associate and adviser to Revanth Reddy. Both candidates are expected to file their nominations in the Assembly on Thursday. Though several senior leaders were considered, the party finalized these names based on political strategy and social balance. With the Congress party holding a strong majority in the Assembly, the victory of both candidates is almost certain.
