Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has strongly criticized the state government over the prevailing law and order situation. He alleged that the state is witnessing a breakdown of governance. According to him, Congress leaders are resorting to attacks when questioned. He remarked that the current situation reminds him of Emergency-like conditions. He further accused the Congress and AIMIM of jointly creating unrest in the state.
He condemned the alleged attack on MLA Venkataramana Reddy’s residence and claimed that tensions in Kamareddy were fueled by Congress actions. He stated that those who tried to defend themselves were instead targeted.
Referring to the arrest of 70 individuals in Banswada, he termed it illegal and alleged that despite clear evidence of stone-pelting, no action was being taken against the responsible persons. He also accused the Congress of attempting to shield AIMIM.
His remarks are likely to intensify political debate in the state.
