BRS leader T Harish Rao has alleged a massive ₹7,000 crore land scam in Nadargul involving 373 acres of government land. He claimed that influential leaders are illegally occupying this land, ignoring court orders and using force against poor farmers. According to him, around 600 farmers have been cultivating these lands for generations but are now being stopped from entering, with reports of attacks, threats and false cases filed against them.
Harish Rao stated that this land was officially declared as government property in 2008 and handed over for public use. He also mentioned that courts, including higher courts, have supported this status. However, he alleged that private companies took control of the land through illegal means and powerful individuals are backing these encroachments. He further accused the family of Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy of being linked to the companies involved in the issue.
He demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy take immediate action by ordering authorities to remove illegal structures, arrest those responsible and allow farmers to return to their lands. Harish Rao warned that if no action is taken soon, his party leaders will visit the site and protest. He stressed that justice must be done to the affected farmers.
