A total of 14 wards across Telangana have been elected unanimously in the ongoing municipal elections. Of these, the Congress party secured 12 wards, while the BRS won two wards without contest. With no opposing candidates in these wards, the results were finalized ahead of polling, reflecting the prevailing political equations at the local level.
Suryapet district recorded the highest number of unanimous wards, with four wards declared unopposed. One ward in Huzurnagar and three wards in Kodad were elected unanimously. In addition, two wards in the Vikarabad municipality were also decided without contest. Election officials stated that polling for the remaining wards will be held on the 11th of this month.
