Yash’s Toxic Faces OTT Uncertainty as Reported Deal Value Plummets

Toxic, starring Kannada star Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, was one of the films that generated considerable anticipation ahead of its release. Although the movie reportedly opened to encouraging numbers, it is said to have disappointed expectations after reaching theatres. The film’s performance has also sparked discussion about its potential financial outcome and the prospects of its digital release.

According to industry rumours, the makers had initially sought a substantial amount for the film’s OTT rights, reportedly around Rs. 200 crore, expecting a strong theatrical response. Reports later suggested that discussions with ZEE5 could have involved an offer of approximately Rs. 30 crore. However, newer rumours claim that even this deal may not have been finalised. There has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers or any streaming platform regarding the reported negotiations, the final deal value or the film’s OTT release date.
