The Prabhas - Maruthi film The Raja Saab, which released in theatres as a Sankranti festive treat, is now ready for its OTT premiere. Jio Hotstar has officially announced that the film will start streaming from February 6 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Adding to the excitement, the platform confirmed that an extended cut of the movie will be released on OTT.
In this OTT version, additional scenes featuring Prabhas in his old look have been included. Though the trailers showcased this look, some of those scenes were missing in the theatrical version, which disappointed a section of the audience. Later, a few trimmed scenes were added during the theatre run. Now, for OTT viewers, the makers have planned to include even more key scenes.
Talking about the story, Gangadevi (Zarina Wahab), a former zamindar of Devanagar, now lives a simple life with her grandson Raju (Prabhas). Due to old age, she suffers from memory loss but never forgets her husband Kanakaraju (Sanjay Dutt). She asks her grandson to bring her husband, whom she often sees in her dreams. This leads Raju to the Raja Mahal in Narsapur. How Raju, also known as Raja Saab, faces Kanakaraju, a man skilled in mysterious powers and what finally happens forms the rest of the story.
