Shift in Dominance on OTT Charts

Netflix’s latest Global Top 10 rankings for Non-English Films have brought a major change for Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons and Ravi Teja’s Irumudi. In the previous week, Irumudi topped the global chart among Indian titles with 3.4 million views, while Vishwanath & Sons stood at No. 5 with 2.1 million views. For the September 28–October 4 period, Vishwanath & Sons has slipped to No. 7 with 1.2 million views, while Irumudi has fallen to No. 9 with 1.1 million views.

The biggest surprise is the sharp drop of Irumudi, which moved from the top spot to No. 9 in just a week. In India, however, Vishwanath & Sons has claimed the No. 1 position, with Irumudi at No. 2. It remains to be seen whether Vishwanath & Sons can retain its place in the global chart next week, while Irumudi will look to recover after its steep decline.
