Sardar 2 Set for OTT Premiere

Kollywood star Karthi and director P. S. Mithran have reunited for the spy action thriller Sardar 2, the sequel to their successful film Sardar. The movie stars Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath as the female leads, while S. J. Suryah and Rajisha Vijayan appear in key roles. Released in theatres on September 10 amid high expectations, the film could not perform as strongly as expected at the box office. Now, the movie is heading to digital streaming just 20 days after its theatrical release.

Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights to Sardar 2. The makers have officially announced that the film will begin streaming worldwide from October 1 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. A special announcement video has also been released on social media. The film’s early OTT arrival has generated interest among Karthi’s fans and movie lovers who are waiting to watch the sequel from home.
