Psychological Thriller Now Streaming on OTT

Versatile actor Jagapathi Babu and actress Laya headline the psychological suspense family thriller ‘Vadala’, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film revolves around family relationships, emotional conflicts, suspicion and unexpected twists. The story follows Dr. Yogi, who lives happily with his wife Priya and their children until Amudha enters their lives after receiving treatment for an accident. As she becomes increasingly close to the family, her growing obsession with Yogi creates tension between the couple.

The film also introduces a parallel investigation into the mysterious death of Nivas and his family in a cylinder blast a decade ago. A police officer discovers a new clue and begins investigating the incident, gradually uncovering hidden truths. ‘Vadala’ builds suspense through family drama, obsession and revenge, though its first half moves slowly and some scenes give more importance to drama than logic. The police investigation track could also have been developed more strongly.
