“Matka King” Series on OTT... Here’s When Starts Streaming!

Actor Vijay Varma, who once made headlines for his relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia, is now back in the spotlight with his upcoming crime drama series Matka King. Though he appeared in a few Telugu films earlier, Vijay Varma is now focusing on his career, while both he and Tamannaah have moved on after their breakup. Recently, the makers released the teaser of the series along with its streaming date.

Matka King is based on the backdrop of the old betting game called “Matka”. The series features Vijay Varma along with Kritika Kamra and Gulshan Grover in key roles. It is directed by Nagraj Manjule, who is known for the blockbuster film Sairat. The teaser confirms that the series will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from April 17.

From the teaser, it appears that the story is inspired by the life of Ratan Khatri from Mumbai. It shows how a simple cotton trader in the 1960s rises to build a powerful gambling empire called Matka. The series also explores how he deals with the underworld and the police during his journey. While a Telugu film titled Matka was released earlier and failed at the box office, this series is expected to present the story in a more realistic and engaging way.
