Last Year in Theatres... Now Streaming on OTT!

New Telugu movies continue to arrive on OTT platforms every week. This time, films like Rajasab, Parashakti and Neelakantha have started streaming, along with two more Telugu movies that were released in theatres last year. Let’s take a look at where you can watch them now and what their stories are about.

Actor Srikanth, known for his roles as both hero and supporting actor in Telugu films, starred in the movie Maatru, which was released in August last year. Due to minimal publicity and the absence of big stars, it went unnoticed in theatres. Now, the movie is streaming for free on Lionsgate Play OTT. The story revolves around a series of kidnappings of young men and women in a city. The police struggle to track down the culprits and it is eventually revealed that a professor is connected to these incidents. Why does the professor behave strangely whenever he hears the word “Amma”? The rest of the story unfolds around this mystery.

Another Telugu film, Vaibhavam, was released in May last year, starring Ruthvik and directed by Satwik. With all newcomers involved, the film went largely unnoticed in theatres. Now, it is streaming on Amazon Prime Video on a rental basis. The story follows Vaibhav, a young man who quits his job to start his own company. Around the same time, his childhood friends re-enter his life and when one of them faces a serious problem, Vaibhav and his friends unite to face it in their own way.
