Karthi’s latest film ‘Annagaru Vostaru’ is all set for a direct OTT release. The movie was earlier released in Tamil as ‘Va Vaathiyaar’ during the Sankranti festival. Due to the unavailability of theatres in Telugu states, the film did not get a theatrical release in Telugu. As a result, the makers decided to release the Telugu version directly on an OTT platform.
Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, the film marks Kriti Shetty’s entry into Tamil cinema as the female lead. Though the movie received mixed reviews in Tamil, it remains to be seen how well it will connect with OTT audiences.

The film will start streaming from January 28 on Amazon Prime Video. It will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam, as officially announced by the platform.
