

One of the most talked-about and controversial Indian web series released in 2024, Freedom at Midnight, has now returned with its second season. The series, produced by Sony LIV, is based on key events during India’s Independence period and focuses on important figures like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and other notable leaders. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the first season gained strong attention for showing lesser-known and intense sides of history.
Now, the makers have officially released Freedom at Midnight Season 2, which is streaming on Sony LIV from yesterday(jan 9,friday). Viewers who watched the first season can continue the story in this new season. The series is available in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi and Bengali, making it accessible to a wide audience across India.
The series features actors Siddhant Gupta, Chirag Vohra, Rajendra Chawla, Luke McGibney and Cordelia Bugeja in key roles. It is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Danish Khan. With its strong performances and bold storytelling, Season 2 is expected to create discussions just like the first season.
