Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced in the Rajya Sabha that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the northern part of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) has been finalized. Responding to a query by Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury, the Minister stated that a consultancy has been approved to prepare the comprehensive DPR for the entire RRR project. This ambitious infrastructure development aims to significantly enhance connectivity around the Telangana capital.
Furthermore, Minister Gadkari revealed that plans are underway to upgrade the existing four-lane Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Machilipatnam section of National Highway 65 (NH-65) into a six-lane access-controlled corridor. This strategic expansion is expected to provide seamless, high-speed connectivity from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh's capital, Amaravati, as well as to the Machilipatnam Port. These projects are anticipated to transform regional logistics and ease the movement of traffic across the two Telugu states.
