The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken another important step to ensure the safety of devotees walking to Tirumala. A First Aid Centre has been inaugurated at the 7th mile on the Alipiri footpath, according to TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu. The centre has been set up with the support of Apollo Cardiac Centre to provide immediate medical assistance to pilgrims during emergencies.
Trained medical staff will be available at the facility to offer prompt first aid and basic treatment. The initiative aims to enhance healthcare support for devotees undertaking the footpath pilgrimage. Notably, Congress MP Vamsi Krishna had recently highlighted the need for such a facility through a video, making the launch timely and significant.
