Yash’s Ravana Set for Massive Screen Presence in Ramayana

Nitesh Tiwari’s highly ambitious film ‘Ramayana’ has generated significant anticipation among moviegoers. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, while Kannada star Yash essays the role of Ravana. The film is planned as a two-part saga, with the first instalment scheduled to release during the Diwali season. The recently released trailer has further heightened curiosity around the project and its characters.

According to reports circulating on social media, Yash’s Ravana is expected to have more than an hour of screen time in ‘Ramayana Part 1’. With the character playing a crucial role in the story, the makers are reportedly mounting his portions on a grand scale. Yash is also said to have spent around 55 days shooting for the role. Special attention has reportedly been given to portraying Ravana’s anger, personality and power effectively on screen. Kajal Aggarwal plays Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh portrays Surpanakha, and veteran actress Shobana plays Kaikasi. ‘Ramayana Part 1’ is slated for release on November 6.
