Fans of Jr. NTR have shifted their focus from the War 2 disappointment to director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film Dragon (working title). After a brief break, the team is preparing to restart the shoot soon. Following an important schedule, the crew suddenly went on a pause without revealing the reasons, but producer Mythri Ravi Shankar clarified during the Dude trailer launch event that the film will resume by the end of this month and continue non-stop until the summer of 2026. That’s exactly what’s making fans nervous.
Officially, Dragon is locked for release on June 25, 2026, as announced months ago. But if the shooting continues till next summer, the question arises — when will post-production, VFX, dubbing, pan-India promotions, pre-release events, and other state tours happen? If this schedule is true, Dragon might once again postpone its release to Dasara 2026. For Prashanth Neel, such delays aren’t new — Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire was first planned for a September release, even selling overseas advance tickets, but got postponed to December.
So if Dragon faces the same fate, it wouldn’t be surprising. Fans might have to lower their expectations for a June release. Actress Rukmini Vasanthi has reportedly been able to focus on promotions for Kantara Chapter 1, A Legend, and Madarasi thanks to this delay. Prashanth Neel is said to be presenting Tarak in a never-before-seen avatar set against a sensational global backdrop inspired by events from two decades ago. But if this pace continues, one can only wonder how long Devara 2 will take to arrive. Looks like Young Tiger fans are in for another long wait!
