Akhil Akkineni is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu. The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios. After several postponements, Lenin is scheduled to hit theatres on July 10. As part of the promotions, Akhil has been actively participating in interviews.
Responding to speculation that the title Lenin has political or communist links, Akhil clarified that the film has no political connection. He explained that the title was chosen because the director admired the name and felt it perfectly suited the story. According to him, the character represents a naturally gifted leader who inspires people, making "Lenin" a symbol of leadership rather than politics.
