"12A Railway Colony," which is slated for release on November 21, will not be showing in American theaters. The film did not receive appropriate offers because of the current difficult market conditions in the USA, despite the producer's initial expectations for strong buyers. The team chose to postpone the US release because it was getting harder to get people to the theater abroad.
The producer turned down a buyer's offer to release the movie in exchange for a small advance. He changed his mind as the release date drew near, but the buyer had already lost interest. The team decided that "12A Railway Colony" would only be released in India for the time being due to the lack of a workable deal. The movie is a thriller with greater box office potential in domestic markets, so if it does well there, the producer might think about releasing it in the USA.
It's interesting to note that smaller films like Premante and Raju Weds Rambai have secured USA releases with comparatively better and more visible distribution, while this film struggles for foreign buyers. Under the production of Srinivasaa Chitturi, "12A Railway Colony," which stars Allari Naresh and Kamakshi Bhaskarla and is directed by Nani Kesaragadda, is currently preparing for its theatrical debut in India.
