Every year, there is a debate about which movies will eventually advance to Tollywood's much-anticipated Sankranti season and which ones will be eliminated. Until the very end, there is still tension surrounding this. While some films confirm their release dates at the last minute, others begin the race and eventually withdraw. Despite meticulous preparation, some films are compelled to skip the competition for a variety of reasons during this hectic season.
Shankar Varaprasad and Anaganaga Oka Raju are two movies that have been in the running for the upcoming Sankranti. Raja Saab joins them. Other films have little chance of securing theaters, which is already a significant challenge. Tamil films like Surya's Karuppu and Vijay's Jana Nayakudu are also being considered for a Telugu release during Sankranti, but finding theaters for them is proving to be challenging. Two more Telugu movies have also been eying for a Sankranti release.
Among them are Nari Nari Naduma Murari, Bharatha Mahashayulu, and Ave. Sankranti was the original target of these films, but it was thought that they might withdraw because of shooting delays and a lack of updates. However, an official poster has already confirmed the release of the Sharwa film for the festival, and recent leaks indicate that the Ravi Teja film might be released during Sankranti. However, it is practically impossible to release so many movies simultaneously. In order to get into the fray, the producers of upcoming movies are probably waiting to see if one or two of the confirmed releases back out. In the end, it will take a few more days to determine which movies will truly compete and which will be pushed aside. Clarity will probably be brought by the theater reservations.
