The Telugu film industry, which played a key role in curbing piracy, thanked the government and the police in front of the media.
Bharat Bhushan said, "Greetings to everyone. The main reason for holding this press conference today is to specially express our gratitude to the Police Department for arresting Immidi Ravi, the owner of the piracy website iBomma. We are thankful to the police team who worked hard for this, the government, and the piracy cell in the Chamber."
Producer C. Kalyan said, "Senior police officers from the department worked for the film industry. Foreign police also helped us in this effort. In the entire country, only the Telugu film industry maintains a piracy cell. They worked very hard to catch iBomma's Ravi. We are expressing our thanks to the Telangana government and the police who supported this. We request that the state government and the national government together stand in support of the cinema industry. The loss that occurs due to piracy should be made better understood to the audience through social media. Those who commit piracy should be severely punished. Soon, we will honor and express our thanks to those from the government who stood by us so strongly and helped us."
Chadalavada Srinivas Rao said, "We are congratulating the police and the government for catching the piracy culprits. They say that because the ticket prices of the caught movie are high, audiences are watching movies in piracy. But because of this situation, other small movies are also facing trouble. Similarly, the situation of Movie Cube and UFO going on is understandable. Their servers should be made strong. If movies leak from their side hereafter, they must definitely take responsibility for it."
Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar said, "The main reason movies are currently unable to achieve success is piracy. As technology changed each time, piracy also changed its form. The Telangana government took curbing piracy as a challenge and caught those who commit piracy. That is a boon for the cinema industry. Ticket prices should also be set in a way that families can come. Only if piracy is completely curbed will new producers come forward courageously and make movies."
Ammi Raju said, "The government and the police together have given great help to our film industry. I request that all audiences watch only in the theater. Our thanks to the government and the police."
Veer Shankar said, "On behalf of the film industry, we are expressing our gratitude for catching those who commit piracy. We want strong laws to be brought against those who commit piracy. Also, wherever the movie gets pirated from, they should also be made to pay compensation. Security-related organizations should be made strong. The Telangana government is encouraging the Telugu cinema industry to reach international standards. We are congratulating the Anti-Piracy Cell in the Chamber."
Mutyala Ram Prasad said, "Catching Immidi Ravi who was committing piracy is a great thing. But there are many others like this. Movies are being similarly pirated through other websites as well. We want the rules to be made strict for them. We are expressing our gratitude to the government and the police for catching iBomma's Ravi."
Bapi Raju said, "As a producer and distributor, we are facing a lot of trouble because of this piracy. We are congratulating everyone who did their part in catching them. We are investing a lot of money with great difficulty for these movies. If piracy happens like this, it will become very difficult for us to survive."
Prasanna Kumar said, "When Revanth Reddy garu became Chief Minister, he said he would stand by us. We understood that instead of from the theater, with HD prints coming, movies are being directly hacked and pirated. To curb that as well, many people from the piracy cell to the police worked hard. I request that everyone congratulate them. Because of piracy, many people are incurring losses. Therefore, I want the cyber team to have a separate department for those who commit cyber crimes like this. Today, once again, the entire film industry together is expressing our thanks for catching iBomma's Immidi Ravi."
From the media, Rambabu said, "Instead of after piracy has happened, it would be good if piracy is prevented beforehand. We will always support in curbing piracy," he concluded.
