With the support of Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Srikant Mannepuri has directed the documentary “Discover Andhra”, featuring Navadeep Pallapoli and Sai Durga Tej. The project is jointly produced by Padala Surender Reddy and Shravy Koona. The movie’s title and glims launch was held grandly on Saturday.Speaking at the event,
Sai Durga Tej said,
“Thanks to everyone who came for Srikant. Thanks to Srikant for showing Andhra in such a wonderful way. People are amazed seeing the beauty around us. In 2020, I started thinking more about wildlife, which led me to co-found the NGO ‘Green Pass’ with a friend. We focus on cleaning beaches and protecting animals and birds in coastal areas. It is our responsibility to preserve the wildlife around us. In the movie Republic, we highlighted environmental issues and conservation. This documentary beautifully showcases our wildlife. We must protect our culture and nature. I wish Srikant great success. Best wishes to everyone who worked on this project. I’m also happy that Mani Sharma supported the project. Media and audience should support such projects.”
Navadeep said,
“Srikant started his wildlife journey in 2014. He showed me the documentary he made, and I was shocked to learn that it was all filmed in Andhra Pradesh. After experiencing wildlife once in the forest, I felt refreshed and reset. But in society, we continue to harm other creatures. Srikant inspired me to explore Andhra’s wildlife. I supported him as much as I could during this journey. That’s when I met Sai Durga Tej. After seeing the visuals, Tej thanked us and said he wanted to showcase Andhra’s wildlife. We immediately coordinated with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to provide all necessary support. Srikant has worked for years to showcase the wonders of Andhra that make Telugu people proud. With a 72-minute-long documentary, he will amaze everyone. People will be surprised seeing the wonders in our state.”
Srikant Mannepuri said,
“After completing my graduation, I researched wildlife extensively. Everyone spoke about some places, but no one talked about our Telugu states. As a volunteer with the Forest Department, I learned a lot and realized the many wonders in Andhra Pradesh. I wanted to create awareness about these treasures through this project. I want people to associate wildlife with Andhra. For now, we have shown only the title and glims. Soon, with the trailer, we will captivate everyone. Thanks to Pawan Kalyan, Navadeep, and Sai Durga Tej for supporting us, and thanks to Mani Sharma for providing the music and support.”
