The Indian mythological epic Ramayana is set to come alive on the big screen with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash playing key roles. Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 5, 2026. At the film’s Tamil pre-release event, Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, urged audiences to experience the movie in 3D in theatres. She explained that watching a trailer on a mobile phone is very different from experiencing the same visuals on a large screen in 3D. Emphasising the scale of the project, she encouraged viewers to watch the film in theatres and experience its visuals as intended by the filmmakers.
Sai Pallavi also spoke about producer Namit Malhotra’s vision, saying that he did not want to create an ordinary or mediocre version of the Ramayana. She encouraged families to bring their children and watch the film in 3D on the big screen. Expressing pride in the team’s work, she said they were proud of what they had delivered for what she described as the biggest story in the world. She also noted that the event marked the team’s final promotional stop in India before moving overseas for further promotions. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ravi Dubey, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal, Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Indira Krishnan and Kunal Kapoor. Hans Zimmer has worked on the background score, while A. R. Rahman has composed the songs.
