Vishwak Sen, who is playing the lead role and directing his upcoming film ‘Cult’, has opened up about the challenges he faced after a series of box-office failures. Produced by Sandeep Kakarala, the film features Gayatri Bharadwaj, Taarak Ponnappa and Murali Sharma in key roles. The makers unveiled the trailer at an event in Hyderabad on Sunday. The film is set to hit theatres on the 30th of this month.
Speaking at the event, Vishwak Sen said that three consecutive flops had left him stressed and anxious, making him question his choices. His brother reminded him that he had the tools to overcome the situation himself. Inspired by the way he stood up for himself during ‘Falaknuma Das’, he decided to take charge of ‘Cult’. He revealed that Tajuddin was initially considered to direct the film and apologised for taking over the responsibility. Vishwak added that nearly 150 newcomers would be introduced through the film and said the audience would enter a new world within the first five minutes.
