Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Ranabaali was released on October 16 and has received a positive response from audiences. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film features Vijay as Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, while Rashmika plays Jayamma. Their performances have attracted appreciation from viewers. Set against the backdrop of famine during British rule in the 1870s, the film gives prominence to historical elements and explores a period marked by hardship and colonial oppression.
Following Ranabaali, discussions are gaining momentum in film circles about a possible change in Vijay Deverakonda’s approach to selecting his upcoming projects. According to reports, the actor may be looking beyond youth-oriented stories and considering films that appeal to family audiences as well. He is currently working on Rowdy Janardhana and another project directed by Shouryuv, both reportedly featuring action-oriented elements. There is also speculation that Vijay may collaborate with director Vikram K. Kumar, known for films such as Manam and Ishq. Whether this potential collaboration will help Vijay connect with a wider audience remains to be seen.
