Star hero Vijay Deverakonda is set to headline the highly anticipated rural action drama Rowdy Janardhana, produced by the prestigious banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Backed by star producers Dil Raju and Shirish, and directed by young filmmaker Ravi Kiran Kola, the film is being mounted as a large-scale pan-India project. The title glimpse was unveiled today in Hyderabad amid loud cheers from Vijay Deverakonda’s fans, signaling strong early buzz for the film.
Speaking at the launch, members of the technical team expressed confidence in the film’s scale and vision. Production Designer Dino Shankar said the glimpse was only a small preview of what the team is crafting, promising much more compelling content ahead. DOP Anand C Chandran echoed the sentiment, stating that the film will feature several surprising and striking visuals that will be revealed soon, adding to the growing anticipation around the project.
Director Ravi Kiran Kola shared that Vijay Deverakonda instantly connected with the character during the narration, embodying the role with remarkable ease. He highlighted Vijay’s impressive command over the East Godavari dialect, noting its authenticity and the effort taken to preserve its true flavor. Producer Dil Raju added that while Vijay has delivered several memorable youthful roles in the past, Rowdy Janardhana will present him in a never-before-seen, intense mass avatar set in a powerful 1980s backdrop. Praising Ravi Kiran’s evolution as a filmmaker, Dil Raju confirmed that the film is planned for a grand theatrical release next year, promising a high-voltage cinematic experience.
