Veteran Actress Shavukaru Janaki in ICU, Receiving Ventilator Support

Veteran actress Shavukaru Janaki, one of the respected names in South Indian cinema, is undergoing intensive medical treatment after suffering from respiratory-related complications. The 95-year-old actress was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai about a week ago. Her condition reportedly worsened on Wednesday night, following which doctors shifted her to the intensive care unit and placed her on ventilator support.

Shavukaru Janaki entered the film industry with the 1950 Telugu film Shavukaru. She became widely known by the name of the film and built a long and distinguished career in cinema. Over several decades, she acted in around 400 films, portraying a wide range of memorable characters. Film personalities and fans are now wishing the veteran actress a speedy recovery.
