Mega Prince Varun Tej’s latest horror-comedy Korean Kanakaraju has made a strong start at the box office, crossing its breakeven mark within the first weekend. The film has reportedly collected more than ₹37.4 crore in worldwide gross, moving into the profit zone. The positive response from audiences, which began with the film’s paid premieres, has helped build momentum over the opening weekend. The movie is also nearing the half-million-dollar mark in the US market.

The comedy track has emerged as one of the film’s major strengths, with Varun Tej and Satya’s combination receiving appreciation from audiences. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, the film now has an additional advantage with the Bonalu holiday in Telangana on Monday. Encouraging advance bookings are expected to help the movie maintain its momentum and extend its theatrical run. With its entertainment quotient working in its favour, Korean Kanakaraju is now looking beyond recovery and aiming for stronger profits.
