The film industry is eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated collaboration between S.S. Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu. Titled Varanasi, this grand-scale project is progressing at a rapid pace. Set across different eras, the film will feature Mahesh Babu in two distinct roles. One of them is said to be Lord Rama, while the other is a powerful character named Rudra.
Following the completion of an ongoing song shoot, the film unit is expected to take a break throughout the month of May. The decision has reportedly been made considering the intense summer heat. A fresh shooting schedule will begin in June. The film has already completed 14 months of shooting, with another six months of production remaining. Being shot in IMAX format, Varanasi is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027. Produced jointly by K.L. Narayana and S.S. Karthikeya, this big-budget venture will be released on a pan-India scale.
